Senior Mechanical Engineer – Package & Rotating Equipment

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, procurement and delivery of package and rotating equipment for oil & gas projects in Doha. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical excellence and compliance with project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering activities for package and rotating equipment.
• Review and approve vendor documents, engineering calculations and technical specifications.
• Prepare and review requisitions, datasheets, bid evaluations and technical queries.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to meet project requirements.
• Monitor vendor performance and resolve technical issues during engineering and procurement stages.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, international codes, company standards and HSE requirements.
• Support procurement, inspection, testing, installation, commissioning and project close‑out activities.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOP studies and client meetings as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 13+ years of experience in mechanical engineering within the Oil & Gas/EPC industry.
• Strong experience with package and rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines and fans.
• Sound knowledge of API, ASME and other international engineering standards.
• Experience in vendor management, technical bid evaluation and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Proficiency in preparing engineering documentation, datasheets, specifications and technical reports.
