Senior OT SOC Engineer (Doha)

About the role

An enterprise operating critical infrastructure in Doha seeks a Senior OT SOC Engineer to strengthen its Operational Technology cyber‑defence capability. The role involves monitoring, detecting, investigating and responding to cyber threats across industrial control environments while ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and optimise OT security monitoring platforms and SIEM tools.
• Detect, investigate and respond to incidents affecting OT and ICS environments.
• Support network segmentation, Zero Trust initiatives and containment actions in production.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting and maintain OT asset visibility.
• Develop and tune detection rules, improve correlation logic and reduce false positives.
• Manage industrial firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC and segmentation technologies.
• Perform deep packet inspection of industrial protocols and analyse traffic for anomalies.
• Produce regular reports, dashboards and executive briefings on OT security posture.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in OT security and SOC operations.
• Proven ability to work safely within industrial control system environments.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills with a focus on minimizing operational impact.

Required skills

• SIEM platforms and OT security monitoring tools.
• Industrial firewalls, IDS/IPS, and Network Access Control (NAC) technologies.
• Packet broker, TAP and SPAN infrastructure for traffic capture.
• Deep packet inspection of industrial protocols.
• Threat hunting, log analysis and detection rule development.
• Correlation logic, dashboards and reporting.
• Zero Trust and network segmentation concepts.
