Senior Procurement Engineer – Doha, Qatar

About the role

The Senior Procurement Engineer will lead the sourcing and acquisition of engineering materials, equipment and services for projects in Qatar. Reporting to the procurement manager, the role ensures that all procurement activities align with project schedules, technical specifications and commercial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement processes for engineering items, from supplier identification to contract award.
• Evaluate quotations, conduct technical and commercial assessments, and negotiate terms with vendors.
• Maintain up‑to‑date supplier databases and monitor supplier performance.
• Coordinate closely with engineering, project and site teams to verify specifications and delivery timelines.
• Prepare procurement schedules, track order status and resolve any delivery issues.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in engineering procurement, preferably in the oil & gas, construction or industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of procurement procedures, supplier evaluation and contract negotiation.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
