About the role
Madre Integrated Engineering is hiring a Database SQL Administrator in Doha on a full-time basis. The role manages, maintains and secures SQL Server databases so that critical business applications run with maximum performance, availability and reliability.
Key responsibilities
- Manage, configure and maintain SQL Server databases and related processes.
- Monitor database health, performance and availability, and troubleshoot real-time performance and operational issues.
- Ensure security, sustainability and high performance of all database systems.
- Recommend and implement performance optimisation improvements.
- Refine and automate routine processes, document system changes and keep accurate records.
- Support developers with query optimisation, schema refinement and application integration.
- Provide 24/7 support for critical production systems and perform scheduled maintenance, upgrades and releases outside business hours.
- Manage Disaster Recovery (DR) site operations, including failover and failback.
