Storekeeper – Warehouse Operations

About the role

The Storekeeper is responsible for the day‑to‑day management of the store loading bay and storage rooms, ensuring that inventory is accurately recorded and that stock is kept in a safe, organized condition. The role works closely with operations, logistics and other internal teams to support smooth material flow.

Key responsibilities

• Receive incoming goods, verify quality, quantity and accuracy against purchase orders or delivery notes.
• Inspect, label and record all received items in the inventory management system.
• Process Return to Vendor (RTV) transactions, update barcodes, price labeling and coordinate stock transfers.
• Dispatch goods to departments, outlets or other locations with proper documentation and traceability.
• Maintain accurate records of all stock movements, receipts and issues.
• Organize and keep stockrooms, loading bay and storage areas clean, orderly and safe.
• Implement best practices for arranging, categorising and tagging items to optimise space and accessibility.
• Conduct periodic stock counts and support cycle counts or annual inventory audits.
• Monitor stock levels and alert supervisors or procurement of low or critical items.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies and SOPs.
• Support logistics and operations teams in coordinating deliveries, returns and inter‑location transfers.
• Assist in preparing inventory reports, variance analysis and stock reconciliation.

Required profile

• High School Diploma.
• At least 2 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory control or warehouse operations.
• Experience in a retail or department‑store environment is preferred.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.

Required skills

• Familiarity with ERP or Warehouse Management Systems.
• Knowledge of inventory management processes.
• Understanding of proper material handling, storage and safety procedures.
