Structural Superintendent – Fabrication Projects

About the role

Saipem is seeking a Structural Superintendent to lead erection activities within the COMP3 project of its Fabrication Department. Reporting to the Fabrication Manager, you will coordinate on‑site works for both offshore and onshore structures, ensuring safe, on‑time, and cost‑effective delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Organise, coordinate and control erection works performed by subcontractors or direct hires.
• Manage interfaces with production superintendents, engineering, methods, and quality control teams.
• Oversee integration of sub‑assemblies, mechanical completion, load‑out, sea transport, offshore hook‑up and installation.
• Promote safe work practices and environmental protection, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Control quality and contractual requirements, and maintain the project schedule.
• Coordinate scaffolding, lifting, handling, welding and non‑destructive testing activities.
• Release mechanically completed systems to commissioning and supervise load‑out operations.
• Provide progress reports, identify deviations, and propose corrective actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in supervising large‑scale erection or fabrication projects.
• Strong knowledge of safety, quality, and mechanical completion processes.
• Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and capability to work under tight schedules.
