Technical Analyst – Bus Operations

About the role

The Technical Analyst will analyze technical data from bus operations, identify operational trends, and recommend solutions that improve efficiency, safety, and reliability of the fleet. The role supports troubleshooting, ensures compliance with quality standards, and drives continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive technical analyses using maintenance records, operational logs, telematics and customer feedback.
• Identify trends, recurring issues, performance gaps and optimisation opportunities.
• Develop and maintain predictive models, simulations and analytical frameworks for data‑driven decisions.
• Troubleshoot complex technical problems in coordination with cross‑functional teams.
• Perform root‑cause analysis for high‑impact operational issues.
• Recommend and validate corrective actions to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Generate detailed technical reports outlining findings, risks and improvement recommendations.
• Maintain audit‑ready documentation, technical records and databases.
• Create technical guidelines, manuals and supporting documentation aligned with company standards.
• Provide technical guidance to drivers, maintenance staff and service centre personnel.
• Communicate complex technical information clearly to diverse stakeholder groups.
• Collaborate with external partners on analysis and problem‑resolution activities.
• Research new technologies, tools and industry best practices relevant to bus operations.
• Participate in workshops, conferences and training sessions for professional development.
• Drive process improvements that reduce operational risks and support long‑term fleet performance.
• Develop training materials and conduct workshops to enhance technical understanding across teams.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Technology or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in technical analysis or a related role.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an analytical or problem‑solving capacity.
• Preferred certifications: Certified Technical Analyst, Data Analysis Certification, Technical Writing Training.
