Technical Engineer

About the role

The Technical Engineer will oversee all technical aspects of construction projects, ensuring designs, drawings, and specifications are accurately implemented. Acting as a bridge between site teams, design consultants, and management, the role aims to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to required standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and interpret contracts and subcontract agreements, manage claims and variation orders.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera or MS Project, monitor progress and prepare recovery plans.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage subcontractors, ensuring performance, compliance, and payment validation.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and BOQs, coordinating with procurement, design, and site teams.
• Produce regular technical and administrative reports for senior management and attend coordination meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, architectural, mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Registered and certified MMUP/UPDA Engineer.
• 10–15 years of experience with a main contractor or in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications and standards.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
