Technical Manager

About the role

The Technical Manager leads the technical office of a marble business, bridging clients, design, fabrication and installation teams. The role ensures projects progress smoothly from estimation through to final installation while maintaining quality and schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Drafting/Estimating team to produce shop drawings, CAD designs and technical specifications for marble cutting and CNC machining.
• Track project timelines from field templating to site installation, coordinating all departments to stay on schedule.
• Review technical drawings against client requirements and resolve discrepancies between architects, designers, installation and fabrication teams.
• Oversee material purchasing, inventory of stone slabs and blocks, and maintain an updated material price list.
• Develop and implement streamlined office workflows, manage budgets, process invoices and job costing.
• Supervise administrative staff, assist HR with onboarding, and handle tender and estimation activities including BOQ creation and pricing.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD software for shop drawing creation.
• Experience with CNC machining processes for natural stone.
