Technical Superintendent

About the role

The Technical Superintendent will lead technical management of LNG/LPG vessels, ensuring safe, reliable and cost‑efficient operations. The role supports fleet projects, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain high technical and operational standards, applying statistical analysis to repair data and fuel consumption.
• Monitor and update the planned maintenance system to meet regulatory requirements.
• Provide expert marine engineering advice, resolve technical issues and propose vessel improvements.
• Prepare vessel budgets, track cost variances and participate in tender evaluations.
• Ensure vessels comply with class, flag and environmental regulations, and conduct safety and technical audits.
• Oversee dry‑docking specifications, monitor repairs and negotiate post‑dock pricing.

Required profile

• Marine Engineering degree (Class 1) or equivalent.
• 8‑12 years of experience, including at least 2 years supervising LNG/LPG vessels or managing large‑scale repairs.

Required skills

• Project management and budget construction.
• Risk assessment and accident investigation.
• Knowledge of cargo containment systems and propulsion plants on large gas carriers.
• Familiarity with international and local marine rules and regulations.
