Technical Support Specialist

About the role

The Technical Support Specialist will ensure the reliability and performance of critical systems for our customers in Doha. You will work on‑site and remotely, providing fast incident resolution, preventive maintenance, and continuous service improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine system maintenance, apply software fixes and updates, and conduct preventive tasks to meet availability requirements.
• Respond to incidents, execute break/fix activities, and restore equipment operation promptly.
• Participate in Problem Management, provide on‑site observations, and recommend process and tool improvements.
• Troubleshoot critical applications, Microsoft SQL Server environments, and perform basic database recovery when needed.
• Identify root‑cause analysis, resolve faults remotely or on‑site, and communicate proactively with customers and the Service Delivery Manager.
• Deliver early‑life support, train end‑users, and document solutions in the knowledge base and ticketing system.
• Install, configure, and set up Vision‑Box equipment according to manuals.

Required skills

• Software and operating system installation and configuration.
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP, routing, switching).
• Database administration basics, including queries, backup and restore.
• Hardware diagnostics and basic electrical/electronic knowledge.
• 3rd‑level support and advanced troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of ITIL v3/2011.
• Microsoft SQL Server and SQL troubleshooting.
• Vision‑Box equipment installation.
