Traffic Works Inspector

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Traffic Works Inspector to oversee daily traffic management and construction activities on large‑scale infrastructure projects in Qatar. The role ensures that all works are carried out safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of traffic management and construction activities, verifying compliance with design specifications, safety standards and regulations.
• Monitor progress, identify potential delays, and recommend corrective actions to keep the project on track.
• Inspect materials and workmanship, ensuring they meet quality specifications.
• Prepare and maintain inspection documentation, including daily, safety and quality reports.
• Coordinate with construction teams for the installation of road signage, traffic signals and pavement markings.
• Manage site safety related to traffic works, ensuring workers follow safety protocols.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers and stakeholders to secure timely delivery of required materials and services.
• Assist in testing and commissioning of traffic management components before handover.

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience inspecting traffic management and construction on large‑scale road or intersection projects.
• Strong knowledge of traffic management standards, codes and regulations, especially in the Middle East or GCC.
• Fluent English with excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with inspection reporting software.
• Ability to use AutoCAD and other traffic management design tools.
