Vice President – Economics

About the role

The Vice President – Economics will lead the research, analysis and reporting of macro‑economic trends for QNB Group. This senior position is responsible for producing high‑quality economic insights that support the bank’s strategic decisions and stakeholder communications.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end production of QNB economic reports, monthly monitors and ad‑hoc analyses.
• Oversee the use of statistical tools, data sources and research subscriptions required for economic forecasting.
• Provide input for business and budget forecasts, including macro‑economic outlooks across multiple countries.
• Coordinate economic content for internal committees such as IMC, ALCO, GMRC and ratings reports.
• Maintain service level agreements with internal units to improve turnaround times.
• Lead the development of thought‑leadership publications, including Country Economic Insight Reports and Global Macro Updates.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in economic research, macro‑economic analysis and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of banking operations, asset‑liability management and risk assessment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex economic data to senior stakeholders.
