Waiter

About the role

Madre Integrated Engineering is hiring a waiter in Doha for a full-time position in the hospitality sector. The role covers guest service, order taking, table service and restaurant upkeep.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and courteously, present menus, explain dishes and daily specials, and make recommendations when needed.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff.
• Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner.
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address issues promptly.
• Clear and reset tables efficiently after guests leave, and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the dining area.
• Assist in preparing the restaurant before and after service, such as setting tables, folding napkins and restocking supplies.
• Handle billing and payment processes accurately.
• Follow safety and sanitation policies and work collaboratively with kitchen, bar and other restaurant staff.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience as a waiter/waitress is a plus but not mandatory.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude.
• Basic math skills for handling cash or POS systems.
