Accountant – Financial Reporting & Audit

About the role

JAR Accounting and Auditing is seeking a dedicated Accountant to join its Doha office. You will play a key part in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting audit engagements, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, maintain general ledgers and reconcile accounts on a daily basis.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Support audit teams by providing necessary documentation and analysis.
• Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations and assist in tax return preparation.
• Analyze variances, identify risks and collaborate with advisory teams to deliver financial insights.

Required profile

• Strong background in financial accounting, general ledger management and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with audit procedures, internal controls and compliance with accounting standards.
• Knowledge of tax regulations, tax return preparation and basic tax planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Ability to work on‑site in Doha, manage multiple deadlines and uphold high ethical standards.
• Experience in the automobile industry and real‑estate sector is a plus.

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
