Assistant HR & Training Manager

About the role

The Assistant HR & Training Manager supports the daily operations of the Human Resources office, focusing on recruitment, compensation, employee benefits, and training initiatives. This role ensures HR services meet employee needs while complying with applicable laws and internal procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the recruitment and hiring process, including interviewing, coordinating with external sources, and attending job fairs.
• Maintain contact with recruitment partners and perform quality control on candidate selection.
• Support unemployment claim management, review provider reports, and attend hearings as needed.
• Coordinate new‑hire orientation and cross‑training programs to promote a positive onboarding experience.
• Facilitate employee development activities and ensure participation in training sessions.
• Help maintain effective employee communication channels and assist with property‑wide meetings.
• Review progressive discipline documentation for accuracy and consistency.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of HR or related experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.

Required skills

• Knowledge of recruitment and hiring best practices.
• Familiarity with employee benefits administration and unemployment claim processes.
• Experience coordinating training and orientation programs.
• Basic understanding of HR policies, documentation, and compliance.
