Assistant Human Resources Manager – Luxury Hotel

About the role

As an Assistant Human Resources Manager at InterContinental Doha Beach & Spa, you will support the daily delivery of the hotel’s People & Culture strategy and HR operations. Working closely with managers and department heads, you will help create an engaging, inclusive and high‑performing workplace while ensuring compliance with IHG and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day HR function, ensuring policies and procedures are consistently applied.
• Provide guidance to managers on HR policies, benefits and employee‑relations matters.
• Maintain accurate confidential colleague records and HR documentation.
• Prepare HR reports, workforce analysis and ensure HR systems are up‑to‑date.
• Assist with recruitment: screen candidates, coordinate interviews, issue offers and manage onboarding.
• Handle employee‑relations issues, investigations and disciplinary processes.
• Promote colleague engagement, wellbeing, recognition and retention initiatives.
• Support performance management processes, talent identification and succession planning.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Assistant HR Manager, HR Business Partner or similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel.
• Strong knowledge of HR operations, employee relations and recruitment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to advise managers.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and professional judgement.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Degree or qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred.
