Assistant Project Manager – High Voltage Electrical Engineering

About the role

GHD is seeking an Assistant Project Manager with a strong background in high‑voltage electrical engineering, preferably with experience delivering primary sub‑stations. Based in Doha, you will lead a construction supervision team and support the core project management function across multiple packages.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage design review and construction supervision activities, including schedules, budgets and resource allocation.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design and engineering review teams to ensure timely delivery of submittals and shop drawings.
• Support quality‑assurance processes, risk management and compliance with relevant standards.
• Prepare progress reports, dashboards and meeting documentation for internal and client reviews.
• Liaise with clients, authorities and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution by the construction contractor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 12‑14 years of experience in project management and construction supervision consultancy services.
• Strong understanding of construction supervision processes, QA/QC and safety.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
