Associate Civil Engineer

About the role

Parsons is looking for an enthusiastic Associate Civil Engineer to join its Qatar team. This entry‑level position is ideal for recent civil engineering graduates who want to gain hands‑on experience in planning, design and delivery of infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine engineering and design tasks using established civil engineering principles.
• Prepare calculations, material take‑offs, cost estimates, surveys, technical reports and design documentation.
• Assist in preparing purchase requisitions, service requests and subcontract documents.
• Review supplier drawings, technical submittals and bid evaluations under senior engineer guidance.
• Issue engineering specifications, data sheets and construction documents.
• Coordinate with CAD/CADD designers to ensure accurate drawing production.
• Support multidisciplinary design coordination and attend design meetings.
• Participate in site visits, inspections, field investigations and data collection.
• Maintain project documentation in line with company procedures and client requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• 0–2 years of relevant engineering experience or internship exposure.
• Basic understanding of civil engineering standards and practices.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD/CADD applications.
• Competence in Microsoft Office suite.
