Assistant Server

About the role

The Assistant Server supports the dining operations at W Hotels, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests. This full-time position involves handling closing procedures, maintaining work areas, and upholding service standards throughout each shift.

Key responsibilities

• Perform closing duties: store reusable items, break down goods, clean equipment and areas, restock supplies, lock refrigerators, turn off lights, and secure doors.
• Set up, stock, and maintain work stations, ensuring all china, glass, and silver are inspected for cleanliness before use.
• Follow clean-as-you-go practices to keep work areas tidy throughout the shift.
• Adhere to company safety, security, and quality policies; report hazards, accidents, or maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain a professional appearance and uniform, and protect confidential company information.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to brand standards and communicate courteously with colleagues and callers.
• Assist supervisors with additional reasonable duties as needed.

Required profile

• Physical ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods during an entire shift.
• Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination for handling small items and equipment.
• Flexibility to reach overhead, bend, twist, stoop, and navigate uneven or slippery surfaces, including stairs and ramps.
• Commitment to teamwork, respect for co‑workers, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
