Chef de Partie – Kitchen Station Lead

About the role

The Chef de Partie will manage a dedicated kitchen station at Banana Island Resort Doha, ensuring every dish meets the brand’s high standards of quality, taste, and presentation. This role is essential to the smooth operation of a fast‑paced, upscale hotel kitchen.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present dishes for the assigned station following established recipes.
• Ensure all ingredients and mise en place are ready before service begins.
• Maintain consistent food quality, taste, and visual standards.
• Assist with menu development and recipe testing as needed.
• Handle proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food items to meet safety standards.
• Control portion sizes to minimize waste and manage costs.
• Keep the workstation clean and organized in line with hygiene regulations.
• Supervise, train, and mentor Commis Chefs and junior staff in the section.
• Coordinate with other kitchen sections for seamless service.
• Report equipment issues or shortages to the Sous Chef or Head Chef.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Demi Chef de Partie.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high‑tempo environment.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred.
