Assistant Venue Manager

About the role

The Assistant Venue Manager supports daily operations of restaurants, bars and room service at a Marriott property in Doha. This entry‑level management position ensures smooth service delivery, guest satisfaction and adherence to budget and legal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Restaurants or Restaurant Manager in supervising shift operations and staff.
• Handle employee questions, monitor performance, and provide on‑the‑spot feedback.
• Ensure all team members have necessary supplies, equipment and uniforms.
• Communicate food quality or service issues to the Chef and Restaurant Manager.
• Maintain compliance with restaurant policies, sanitation standards and local alcohol service laws.
• Manage budgetary goals, monitor labor and cost controls.
• Open and close restaurant shifts, and perform duties across related departments as needed.
• Interact with guests to gather feedback, resolve complaints and promote exceptional service.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of food‑and‑beverage or culinary experience, or a 2‑year associate degree in Food Service Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, etc., with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, budgeting and guest service standards.
