Assistant/Associate Professor – Marine Engineering

About the role

The University of Doha for Science and Technology seeks qualified faculty to join the Marine Engineering Department at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The role involves teaching, curriculum development, research, and industry engagement within a student‑centered, applied learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deliver, and evaluate undergraduate and graduate courses in Marine Engineering and related subjects.
• Assess student progress, supervise capstone projects, and manage learning resources.
• Maintain course portfolio documentation for program review and accreditation.
• Collaborate with industry partners and advisory committees to align curricula with professional practice.
• Participate in instructional design, new program development, and applied research initiatives.

Required profile

• PhD in Marine Engineering or a closely related field (e.g., Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Propulsion Systems, Thermofluids) from an internationally recognized institution.
• Minimum five years of post‑doctoral academic experience and three years of relevant industrial experience.
• Proven record of curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.
• Ability to employ diverse teaching approaches, including laboratory, simulation, and practicum experiences.
• Demonstrated capacity to conduct independent applied research with potential national and international impact.
