About the role

GEMS Wellington School – Qatar is seeking an inspirational secondary Biology teacher to join its growing Science department. The successful candidate will start in August 2026 and will be responsible for delivering a high‑quality, inclusive curriculum that prepares students for A‑Level examinations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess Biology lessons for secondary students, including A‑Level content.
• Contribute to the development of a collaborative, high‑performing Science department.
• Implement evidence‑based teaching strategies and the "Teach Like a GEM" pedagogy.
• Support extracurricular activities that promote a well‑rounded student experience.
• Maintain accurate records and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.

Required profile

• Passion for Science with a specialism in Biology.
• Proven track record of outstanding teaching practice.
• Commitment to helping all students achieve their maximum potential.
• Experience teaching Biology at A‑Level is desirable.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards.

Required skills

• Knowledge of British curriculum teaching methods.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and an appropriate teaching degree.
