Business Development Manager – Specialty Segments & Destination Qatar

About the role

Qatar Airways is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead its Specialty Segments and Destination Qatar portfolio. You will drive revenue growth, market expansion and profitability through strategic partnerships, commercial execution and innovative business development initiatives across cruise, tour operators, sports, VFR, tourism boards, wellness and religious travel.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategy for Specialty Segments, setting revenue, profitability and growth targets.
• Own commercial performance of the portfolio, monitor KPIs and ensure measurable returns on partnerships and investments.
• Develop and strengthen strategic partnerships with cruise lines, tour operators, tourism boards, wellness providers, religious travel organisations, sports governing bodies and government stakeholders.
• Identify emerging market opportunities, create new products and commercial models, and position Qatar Airways as the preferred carrier in high‑growth travel segments.
• Lead Destination Qatar initiatives, managing relationships with Visit Qatar, Discover Qatar, DMCs and ground operators to deliver visitor growth and stop‑over targets.
• Negotiate commercial agreements, RFPs and partnership contracts aligned with the airline’s commercial objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development or commercial management within the travel, tourism or aviation sectors.
• Strong track record of delivering revenue growth and managing strategic partnerships.
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence senior stakeholders.
