Chief Accountant – Hotel Finance

About the role

The Chief Accountant will lead daily financial operations for a luxury hotel in Doha, ensuring accurate ledger management, timely reporting, and strict compliance with hospitality accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing, balance‑sheet reconciliations and preparation of monthly financial statements in line with USALI.
• Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Income Audit and General Cashiering to optimise working capital and daily cash flow.
• Prepare local tax filings (VAT, sales tax, corporate tax, payroll taxes) and ensure compliance with regional regulations and statutory audits.
• Enforce internal controls, monitor revenue capture, verify daily income audits and flag budget variances.
• Lead, mentor and review the accounting team, including monthly payroll processing and finance‑related queries from operational heads.

Required profile

• At least 1 month of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in hotel or hospitality finance is preferred.
