Clinical Affairs Manager – MENA Region

About the role

Akura Medical is seeking a Clinical Affairs Manager to lead clinical trial activities across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Based in Doha, Qatar, the role will oversee the full lifecycle of studies for the NavIQ software platform and the Katana™ Thrombectomy System, from site selection to study close‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary operational lead for IDE, post‑market, PMCF, registry and observational studies in the MENA region.
• Plan, design and execute clinical studies in alignment with regulatory and business strategies.
• Develop and manage study documentation including protocols, informed consent forms, CRFs, statistical plans and trial agreements.
• Identify, evaluate, select and initiate sites across Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and other applicable countries.
• Coordinate site monitoring, enrollment, data collection and close‑out activities while ensuring compliance with GCP and local regulations.
• Provide direct procedural support and technical guidance to interventional cardiology, radiology or vascular surgery teams during cases.

Required profile

• Self‑sufficient professional comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment with limited on‑site infrastructure.
• Clinical or procedural expertise in interventional cardiology, interventional radiology or vascular surgery is strongly preferred.
• Experience managing multi‑country clinical trials in the MENA region.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with investigators and regulatory bodies.
