CNC Operator

About the role

TradesApp is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join its production team on an urgent basis. You will work with a variety of digital printing and fabrication equipment to deliver high‑quality branding, event, exhibition, signage, and fabrication projects.

Key responsibilities

• Operate large‑ and small‑format digital printers (UV, solvent, eco‑solvent, latex) and CNC routers, plotters, laser cutters, laminators, and other finishing equipment.
• Prepare substrates, inks, and materials; perform test prints, adjust alignment, sizing, and colour accuracy.
• Cut, trim, laminate, mount, route, and assemble materials such as vinyl, acrylic, MDF, foam board, aluminum, PVC, fabric, and paper.
• Prepare and modify artwork using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and basic InDesign; verify print‑ready files (AI, PDF, PSD, EPS).
• Run RIP software, manage production queues, and conduct basic colour calibration and quality checks.
• Troubleshoot minor machine, mechanical, and software issues; perform routine cleaning, calibration, and preventive maintenance.
• Follow HSE and quality standards, coordinate with designers and project managers, and maintain production records.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma or certification in Printing Technology, Graphic Arts, Manufacturing, or related field.
• Strong practical knowledge of digital printing and fabrication machinery.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; basic InDesign knowledge preferred.
• Experience with RIP software, colour management, and print quality control.
• Ability to read artworks, layouts, technical drawings, and job instructions.
• Physical capability to handle production materials and work extended hours when needed.
• Immediate availability.
