Collection Officer

About the role

A real estate, property and construction company in Doha, Qatar is looking for a Collection Officer to manage outstanding invoices, rental payments, service charges and other receivables. The role involves following up on overdue payments, keeping collection records and working closely with Finance, Leasing, Property Management and Legal teams. Locally available candidates are preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up on overdue payments and maintain collection records
• Prepare aging reports and cash recovery forecasts
• Reconcile customer accounts
• Coordinate with Finance, Leasing, Property Management and Legal teams
• Escalate unresolved accounts when necessary

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable or credit control
• Experience in real estate, property management, facility management or asset management preferred
• Knowledge of lease agreements, service charge collections and tenant account management
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Arabic and English bilingualism preferred
• Valid Qatar driving licence is mandatory

Required skills

• Accounts receivable and bank reconciliation
• ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Yardi or Microsoft Dynamics are an advantage
