Commis Chef – Italian Cuisine at Luxury Doha Restaurant

About the role

The Ned Doha’s acclaimed Italian restaurant Cecconi’s is looking for an enthusiastic Commis 1 to join its kitchen team. This entry‑level position offers the chance to develop culinary skills in a high‑quality, upscale dining environment while working with authentic Italian flavours.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of authentic Italian dishes, maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.
• Prepare ingredients, sauces, pasta and other menu items according to established recipes.
• Support senior chefs during service to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area at all times.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and health regulations.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Commis Chef, preferably in an Italian or upscale restaurant.
• Passion for food, strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Positive attitude, teamwork orientation and a proactive approach.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Italian cuisine, ingredients and cooking techniques.
• Basic understanding of food safety and HACCP standards.
