Commissioning PTW Coordinator (Hook-Up & Commissioning)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Permit to Work (PTW) Coordinator to support Hook‑Up and Commissioning activities for a major oil & gas project in Qatar. The role involves managing all PTW processes across onshore, offshore and brownfield tie‑in phases to ensure safe and compliant execution.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the focal point for all PTW activities during commissioning and hook‑up phases, verifying permits, isolations and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with PTW procedures, HSE standards and perform quality checks on permits and supporting documentation.
• Monitor timely submission, approval and closure of permits in line with project schedules.
• Promote safety culture, audit PTW processes, isolations, confined space entries and gas testing, and identify SIMOPS conflicts.
• Support planning aligned with commissioning schedules, coordinate system handover, isolation transfers and preparation for operations.
• Liaise with EPC contractors, subcontractors and internal teams, providing daily and weekly PTW performance reports.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years PTW coordination experience, with at least 5 years field experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, construction yards or shipyards.
• Strong knowledge of PTW systems, isolation design, risk assessment, confined space entry and gas testing protocols.
• Experience on large‑scale EPC projects (greenfield & brownfield), hook‑up, offshore commissioning and system handover.
• Familiarity with hydro‑testing, pipe cleaning, flange management and electrical systems (LV/MV/HV, ICSS, power generation) is advantageous.
• International project exposure, especially with Tier‑1 EPC contractors, is preferred.
