Contract Director

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Contract Director to join Turner & Townsend in Doha. In this senior leadership position you will own the end‑to‑end contract lifecycle, ensuring commercial and legal interests are protected across major projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead negotiation, drafting and execution of complex commercial contracts across multiple business units.
• Analyse contract terms, identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Develop and implement contract management policies, procedures and best practices.
• Oversee vendor and supplier contract portfolios, ensuring compliance and performance standards.
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, legal counsel and external partners.
• Monitor contract performance, conduct audits and maintain comprehensive documentation using contract management systems.
• Provide strategic guidance on commercial matters to senior management and identify opportunities for optimisation and cost savings.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years post‑graduate experience in major projects or programmes.
• Extensive experience with international contracting mechanisms such as FIDIC and governmental forms.
• Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial principles and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to analyse complex contractual terms and assess associated risks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to develop team members.
