Deputy Head – School Leadership

About the role

Al Jazeera Academy is seeking a dynamic Deputy Head to join its senior leadership team in Doha, Qatar. This full‑time, on‑site position supports the Head of School in delivering a British curriculum enriched with core Islamic values, fostering academic excellence and holistic development.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee academic programmes and ensure alignment with the British curriculum and Islamic ethos.
• Manage teaching and non‑teaching staff, promoting professional growth and effective collaboration.
• Monitor student performance, analyse data, and implement improvement strategies.
• Lead school‑wide initiatives, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
• Engage regularly with parents, trustees and external stakeholders to build a supportive educational community.

Required profile

• Proven experience in academic leadership, school administration or a similar senior educational role.
• Deep understanding of the British curriculum and experience designing educational strategies.
• Strong knowledge of Islamic values and ability to integrate them into school life.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Degree in Education or related field; teaching qualification or leadership certification preferred.
