Fabrication Technician – Digital Printing & CNC Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Technician to join our production team on an urgent basis. The role involves operating digital printing and fabrication equipment, preparing print‑ready files, performing finishing work, and maintaining high‑quality output for branding, events, exhibitions, signage and other fabrication projects.

Key responsibilities

• Operate large‑ and small‑format digital printers (UV, solvent, eco‑solvent, latex) and finishing equipment such as CNC routers, plotters, laser cutters and laminators.
• Prepare substrates, inks and materials, perform test prints, and adjust for alignment, sizing and colour accuracy.
• Cut, trim, laminate, mount, route and assemble a variety of materials including vinyl, acrylic, MDF, foam board, aluminum, PVC, fabric and paper.
• Prepare and modify artwork using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign; verify print‑ready files (AI, PDF, PSD, EPS) and manage production queues with RIP software.
• Conduct basic colour calibration, profiling and quality checks; troubleshoot minor machine, mechanical and software issues.
• Perform routine cleaning, calibration and preventive maintenance; record production data and monitor material usage.
• Coordinate with designers, project managers and production teams to ensure accurate job execution and meet urgent project deadlines.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma or certification in Printing Technology, Graphic Arts, Manufacturing or a related field.
• Strong practical knowledge of digital printing and fabrication machinery.
• Experience in signage, advertising, events, exhibitions or related fabrication projects is an advantage.
• Ability to read artworks, layouts, technical drawings and job instructions.
• Physically capable of handling production materials and working extended hours when required.
• Immediate availability.
