Highway Design Technician

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Highway Design Technician to support Roads BIM coordination on a major project in Qatar. You will work closely with the BIM Coordinator and Highways Delivery Teams to develop, maintain, and deliver high‑quality 3D/2D models and drawing packages.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the BIM Coordinator with day‑to‑day BIM implementation and model management.
• Create Civil 3D modeling and production templates for highway and road design.
• Generate 3D/2D models, clash reports, and visual walkthroughs aligned with project LOD requirements.
• Extract solid models for clash analysis, schedule review, and quantity surveying.
• Produce highway drawings, layouts, profiles, cross‑sections, and cut sheets directly from the BIM model.
• Ensure Project Information Models (PIMs) comply with TIDP, MIDP, and CDE protocols.
• Prepare BIM package submissions and conduct constructability analysis.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in roads modeling and drafting.
• Strong understanding of highway design concepts and digital delivery workflows.
