Lead Finance Officer

About the role

The Lead Finance Officer will provide subject‑matter expertise for ongoing finance process enhancements and oversee cargo revenue accounting activities. This role supports management in designing and implementing improvement initiatives, writing business cases for small system upgrades, and ensuring accurate revenue reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expertise for finance process development, enhancements, and improvements.
• Support management in implementing process‑improvement initiatives and drafting business cases for small applications or system upgrades.
• Identify areas requiring system enhancements or new development on an ongoing basis.
• Act as the subject‑matter expert during implementation of system changes.
• Communicate management initiatives and help resolve implementation issues.
• Participate in regular business and technical discussions on project updates and technical challenges.
• Deliver training to end‑users on process changes and system enhancements.
• Ensure accuracy of cargo revenue volume, values, and accounting to guarantee correct revenue declaration.
• Implement test strategies, conduct user‑acceptance testing, and guide testers.
• Assist the outsourced BPO to ensure cargo processing activities meet SLA requirements.
• Review and update policy documents, SOPs, and SLA delivery based on business needs.
• Prepare self‑audit findings, quality reports, and executive summaries for senior management.
• Set departmental objectives aligned with overall business goals.
• Provide timely, accurate inputs to both business and technical teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cargo revenue accounting or similar finance functions.
• Strong understanding of finance process improvement and system enhancement projects.
• Ability to draft business cases and communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience working with outsourced processing units and managing SLA compliance.
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and audit readiness.
