Licensed Aircraft Engineer - Heavy Maintenance B1

About the role

Qatar Airways is seeking a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (Level 1) to join its Technical Engineering team in Doha. The engineer will be responsible for delivering heavy‑maintenance tasks on the airline’s main fleet, ensuring safe and efficient aircraft operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute assigned maintenance activities in line with Qatar Airways procedures.
• Review work procedures, propose improvements and ensure compliance with standards.
• Release aircraft after work is completed, guaranteeing dispatch reliability and acceptable defect levels.
• Provide technical solutions to problems within authority and maintain serviceability schedules.
• Guide and train technicians and mechanics, supervising workmanship and tool usage.
• Support internal and external customers, meeting delivery standards for QR and its clients.

Required profile

• High school/vocational diploma with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years.
• Diploma or degree in Aircraft Maintenance or Engineering (B.Eng., BSc or equivalent).
• Hold a full Qatar Airways main‑fleet ICAO/QCAA licence and approvals.
• Ability to obtain a heavy‑vehicle driving licence and any required equipment certifications.
