Licensed Aircraft Engineer II - Qatar Executive

About the role

This is a virtual recruitment event for a Licensed Aircraft Engineer II at Qatar Executive, part of the Qatar Airways Group. The engineer provides full support to the Lead Engineers and management to carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks according to approved maintenance documentation, ensuring full-time aircraft availability and the highest standards of safety in line with QCAA regulations and company procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to support the operation of the Qatar Executive commercial fleet
• Manage, encourage and motivate the team; determine materials, tools and support needed
• Manage inspections, prioritise defects and coordinate the use of available pool personnel
• Find solutions to defects while adhering to safety, regulatory and company standards
• Advise on impending issues affecting the aircraft, especially cabin system serviceability
• Release work only after confirming it meets QE standards for aircraft availability, system reliability and acceptable deferred defects
• Review work procedures, equipment and standards and propose improvements
• Help define and prepare maintenance work packages and give specialist support to QE Maintenance, QE CAMO and Engineering
• Travel to aircraft locations at short notice to troubleshoot and fix defects
• Provide guidance and on-the-job training for technicians and mechanics
• Work with OEMs, vendors and suppliers to solve aircraft problems
• Deliver on time, with the required standard of reliability and appearance, and perform additional tasks as instructed by the Maintenance Manager

Required profile

• Degree, equivalent or diploma in Aircraft Maintenance, or vocational aircraft maintenance qualification
• Minimum 5 years of aircraft certifying experience
• Current certifying authorisation with an EASA or TCCA Part 145 organisation
• Experience with recognised corporate jet type ratings, preferably including one aircraft operated by Qatar Executive on the type licence
• Able to make clear decisions under pressure, work independently and as part of a team, and understand technical manuals
• Good written and spoken English

Required skills

• ICAO Type II / EASA Part 66 B1 / QCAA licence and approvals
• In-depth knowledge of aircraft maintenance fundamentals for the area of employment
• Current types: Gulfstream 700/650/650ER, Global Express XRS C and Global 5000
