Network Operations Center Engineer

About the role

The Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer will monitor, troubleshoot and maintain the company’s network infrastructure to ensure high availability and optimal performance. Based in Qatar, the role requires close collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to resolve incidents promptly.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor network health using tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios or PRTG.
• Respond to alerts, incidents and outages, adhering to defined SLAs.
• Perform L1/L2 troubleshooting on LAN/WAN, MPLS and VPN technologies.
• Log and track all tickets in ServiceNow or Remedy, escalating when necessary.
• Coordinate with internal departments and vendors to implement corrective actions.
• Maintain documentation of network configurations and incident reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in network operations or support.
• Preferred CCNA or equivalent certification.
• Bilingual Arabic/English is preferred.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model and subnetting.
• Hands‑on experience with routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF).
• Familiarity with Cisco and Juniper networking devices.
• Proficiency in network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG).
• Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
• Understanding of LAN/WAN, MPLS and VPN technologies.
