Paint Technician – Body Shop

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Paint Technician to join our Body Shop team in Qatar. You will be responsible for preparing vehicle surfaces, applying primer and paint, and restoring finishes to manufacturer standards in a fast‑paced automotive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare damaged vehicle surfaces by applying body filler, sanding and priming as required.
• Apply paint to vehicles and components following manufacturer repair standards.
• Perform polishing, rubbing and compounding to achieve a high‑quality finish.
• Ensure all paint and refinishing work meets quality and workmanship standards.
• Operate spray guns, paint booths and related equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area at all times.
• Follow health, safety and environmental procedures, including proper use of PPE.
• Participate in team meetings, safety training and technical assessments.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in an automotive paint shop.
• Strong understanding of manufacturer paint instructions and application methods.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining high safety standards.
• Team‑oriented attitude and willingness to follow established processes.

Required skills

• Automotive paint preparation, priming and painting.
• Polishing, rubbing and compounding techniques.
• Operation of spray guns, sanding tools, polishing machines and paint booths.
• Knowledge of paint manufacturer instructions and materials.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols.
