Project Control Director

About the role

The Project Control Director will lead the cost planning, monitoring and reporting functions for the company's real‑estate projects in Qatar. Reporting directly to senior management, you will ensure that project budgets align with corporate financial objectives and that cost performance is transparent and controlled.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain project budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational financial goals.
• Develop accurate cost estimates and financial forecasts to support project planning and decision‑making.
• Continuously monitor project expenditures and prepare detailed cost reports for stakeholders.
• Identify and analyse cost variances, providing explanations and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Assess financial risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimise cost overruns.
• Manage changes to project scope, schedule and budget, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for cost performance and drive improvement initiatives.
• Oversee vendor contracts, ensuring compliance and controlling procurement and subcontracting costs.
• Ensure all cost‑control activities comply with relevant financial regulations, standards and company policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of professional experience, including at least 10 years in a management or leadership role.
• Experience in the GCC region is a plus.
• Advanced understanding of project management principles, methodologies and tools.
• Strong analytical abilities and excellent communication skills.
• Proven leadership capability to coordinate multidisciplinary project teams.
