Project Director – Power (EPC)

About the role

The Project Director – Power leads the end‑to‑end delivery of large‑scale EPC projects in the power sector, covering thermal, combined‑cycle, renewable, transmission and substation assets. You will be the single point of accountability for project outcomes, ensuring safety, schedule, budget and quality while managing complex stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full EPC lifecycle from contract award through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate engineering and design interfaces across civil, mechanical, electrical and I&C disciplines to guarantee constructibility and code compliance.
• Develop and execute procurement strategies for major equipment such as turbines, generators, transformers and switchgear, managing vendor selection, logistics and long‑lead‑time risks.
• Provide executive oversight of site construction, subcontractor performance and quality assurance.
• Drive cost control, schedule management and earned‑value analysis; handle contract administration, variation orders and claims.
• Champion HSE and process‑safety standards to achieve zero‑harm performance.

Required profile

• Proven leadership of large EPC power projects from award to commissioning.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with clients, joint‑venture partners and regulatory bodies.
• Ability to balance commercial, technical and safety demands across the project lifecycle.
