PYP Homeroom Teacher

About the role

The school seeks a dedicated PYP Homeroom Teacher to promote student learning across academic, physical, socio‑emotional and ethical domains. The role includes fostering respect for Qatari culture while delivering the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, teach and assess engaging, inquiry‑based learning experiences that meet IB PYP standards.
• Create a stimulating, inclusive classroom environment.
• Integrate technology to support student learning.
• Provide regular oral and written feedback and encourage student reflection.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and school events.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, interdisciplinary units and development of IB Learner Profile attributes.

Required profile

• Relevant teaching qualification.
• Fluency in English; Arabic and Spanish are desirable.
• Experience relevant to primary education; prior IB PYP experience preferred but not mandatory.
• ICT knowledge and ability to incorporate technology in lessons.
• Double degrees, master’s level or international experience viewed positively.
