QA/QC Engineer – Instrument, Telecom & Fire & Gas

About the role

Airswift is seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to support a major on‑shore gas plant project in Qatar. The role is a 24‑month fixed‑term contract, working on‑site with a focus on instrumentation, telecommunications and fire‑and‑gas systems.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and approve QA/QC documents such as ITPs, QCPs, test procedures and material acceptance reports in line with the construction programme.
• Conduct surveillance, inspections and testing of instrumentation, telecom and fire‑and‑gas equipment during erection, pre‑commissioning and commissioning, and manage non‑conformances.
• Lead a team of discipline inspectors, monitor KPIs, and ensure compliance with international codes and project specifications.
• Support the contractor in implementing quality plans, preservation management, calibration records and inspection‑test status databases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Instrumentation & Controls Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of experience on green‑field or brown‑field oil & gas process plants, with overall responsibility for I&C quality.
• Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (QCS, IEC, IEEE, BS, ISO, UL, NFPA, IOGP, Shell DEPs).
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with contractors, third‑party vendors and multidisciplinary teams.
