QA/QC Engineer – Oil & Gas EPC Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced QA/QC Engineer to lead quality activities on major oil & gas EPC projects in Doha. You will be the quality focal point, ensuring compliance with project specifications, international standards and client requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead QA/QC activities across engineering, procurement, construction, installation and hand‑over phases.
• Review and approve Project Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans, welding and NDT procedures, and other quality deliverables.
• Coordinate site, workshop and vendor inspections, as well as third‑party and offshore surveillance.
• Manage Non‑Conformance Reports, conduct Root Cause Failure Analyses and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Support procurement quality tasks including material approvals and criticality assessments.
• Perform quality audits, contractor performance evaluations and punch‑list close‑outs.
• Monitor project quality metrics and report regularly to project management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of QA/QC experience in oil & gas EPC projects, both brownfield and greenfield.
• Proven experience with motor operated valves, shutdown valves and double block & bleed valves.
• Hands‑on experience in source inspection programs and manufacturing, testing and inspection activities.

Required skills

• CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector certification (or equivalent).
• NDT Level II certification (RT, UT, MT, PT).
• ISO 9001:2015 Internal or Lead Auditor certification.
• Valid offshore certifications: BOSIET/TBOSIET, H₂S, BA and Offshore Medical.
