Risk Management Consultant

About the role

The Risk Management Function safeguards the integrity and efficiency of the tax system. As a Risk Management Consultant you will lead the design and implementation of a comprehensive risk framework for a tax authority operating in the GCC region.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, maintain a risk register and use data analytics to monitor mitigation effectiveness.
• Develop and implement a GCC‑specific risk management framework, define risk appetite, and deliver training to raise risk awareness.
• Design, implement and regularly update internal controls to ensure compliance with tax laws and integrate risk considerations into business processes.
• Monitor compliance, produce regular risk exposure reports for senior management and recommend corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or a related field; Master’s or professional risk‑management certification preferred.
• 15+ years of proven experience in risk management within tax or a related organization.
• In‑depth knowledge of GCC tax laws, regulations and business practices.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and control design.
