Security Engineer – Network & Identity Management

About the role

Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar is looking for a Security Engineer to protect its ITS network and information systems. Reporting to the Senior Manager Network AV, you will use advanced security tools to detect, analyse, and remediate threats across the campus.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor network security and perform threat analysis using ITS tools.
• Manage identity access, authorization, and vulnerability remediation for WCM systems.
• Design, implement, and configure security policies for network devices and information systems.
• Conduct research on emerging attack vectors and develop technical counter‑measures.
• Analyze logs for compliance, and respond to security incidents as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum three years of progressive experience in security support infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of identity‑management principles and networking concepts.

Required skills

• Windows, Active Directory, Unix, Linux, AIX, Solaris platforms.
• Firewalls, SSL VPNs, routers, switches, VPNs, Sourcefire, RNA, Arbor network systems.
• Syslog reporting, Splunk, Tripwire.
• IP Telephony and wireless security.
• Encryption, authentication, cryptographic standards, TCP/IP, routing.
• Identity management tools, forensic procedures, host‑based security.
