Senior Marine Technician

About the role

Delphie Consulting services is seeking an experienced Senior Marine Technician to lead technical operations for vessels operating in the Gulf region. The role involves overseeing maintenance, repairs, and compliance activities to ensure optimal vessel performance and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programmes for marine machinery, engines, and auxiliary systems.
• Coordinate dry‑docking, statutory inspections, and technical procurement with shipyards, class societies, and service providers.
• Develop and maintain technical records, maintenance schedules, inspection reports, and vessel documentation.
• Lead troubleshooting and repair activities for engine, generator, and mechanical system failures.
• Ensure compliance with Flag State and Class requirements, as well as marine safety standards.
• Collaborate with vessel owners, masters, chief engineers, and crew to resolve technical issues promptly.

Required profile

• 8–10+ years of experience in marine/shipping technical roles, preferably in a senior capacity.
• Strong knowledge of marine machinery, electrical and mechanical systems, and marine equipment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple vessels and technical projects independently.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
