Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our award‑winning team in Doha. The role focuses on reviewing mechanical engineering design packages prepared by client consultants across a variety of international projects. The engineer will ensure compliance, optimise designs and add value through rigorous assessment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform design reviews on varied international projects.
• Review design packages for residential, commercial, hospitality, retail, hospital, university, high‑rise and low‑rise developments.
• Prepare diplomatic written documentation such as letters, minutes, meeting notes, design review reports and schedules.
• Evaluate drawings and specifications at all design phases for compliance with brief, codes, optimisation, risk, cost‑saving, functionality and coordination with other disciplines.
• Conduct value engineering assessments as part of the review process.
• Ensure client brief and project goals are fully understood and reflected in reports.
• Coordinate design review activities with architects, interior designers, MEP, structural, landscape, project managers and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to departmental process improvement and business development.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience reviewing mechanical design packages for large‑scale projects.
• Strong understanding of building codes, QA/QC procedures and value engineering.
