Senior Project Engineer

About the role

The Senior Project Engineer leads engineering efforts across multiple disciplines to ensure project objectives are met. Reporting directly to project management, this role may act as deputy Project Manager and step in when required. The position involves close coordination with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver high‑quality engineering deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate inputs from engineering disciplines, functional departments, and subcontractors for the engineering portion of projects.
• Generate and review deliverables, reports, and procedures required for project execution.
• Support the Engineering Project Manager in planning, organizing, and controlling small projects, establishing policies and procedures.
• Act as liaison between the customer, engineering team, and third‑party agencies, ensuring clear communication and scope alignment.
• Assist in preparing the Engineering Project Execution Plan (PEP) and Interface Plan & Scope Split Matrix.
• Review project plans, prepare subcontract scope packages, and attend engineering readiness reviews.
• Manage change documentation through the Desk Top Change Management System (DTCMS) and update scope documents as needed.
• Coordinate information flow between engineering and other functions such as fabrication and marine.
• Maintain document registers and ensure timely distribution of engineering documents.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising project personnel and coordinating multi‑disciplinary engineering teams.
• Ability to act as deputy Project Manager and assume full project leadership when required.
• Strong organizational and planning skills with experience forecasting resource requirements.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Familiarity with engineering project execution processes and documentation control.
